Devlog#48-50: Demo V0.65 alpha release!


Hi, sorry for lack of devlog here, I am a little bit busier recently.

I got big progress for the DEMO!


Basically, there's lots, lots of people having difficulty when dealing with bosses when I was in the convention.

IN NORMAL DIFFICULTY, which is suppose to be not that hard yet not easy to beat, especially for the first boss.


So I nerfed them, for details, go check the update log in the game file.

And yeah, I should add a picture manual in the game, but I haven't finished that part, so it might feel a little bit weird in late part of the demo.

I also added lots of stuff like cutscene and such.


But yeah, check the update log for more info.


One thing I forgot to mention is the dash will cost you a little bit of energy now, when you run out of energy, your dash will not be invincible, but you can recover it by waiting or guarding enemy's attack.


For things that I might add in the future:

- Guard stun: Player can stun enemy by parry/blocking some attacks from enemies, how effective the stun depends on the timing.

- More destructale object, especially for cardboard box, lots of people like to attack them in the test play/demo session.

- When player is invisible to the enemy, they will have a little icon on their head.

- Better story

- Might add BGM to Stage 3, if it's good.

- Better hint for the jump-dash section.

- "Door" for the third boss room, now I'm using the door from Stage 2.


I am pretty sure I forgor a thing or two here, if I remember them, they might be added in the future.

One of the biggest reason why I didn't update here a lot is mostly because I can't quite keep up the pace for managing 5 platform at one time and I had a job, a not-so-good one.

Sorry about that again.


Good news? I got my Steamworkshop approved, when I finished dealing with publishing stuff and things, I'll have a steam page!

In past demos, I think I've struggled more with the enemies in part 2 more than the bosses!  I'll give it a shot today to see how things go.

(There was a bug I'd found in previous versions but haven't confirmed it in this one yet, I will keep you posted!)

Ah yes, the famous hard-hitting squids, I should make the projectile of the Mortar squid "killable" by player's attack as well!

Sword squids are also nerfed in this version as well and thanks for the comment!
